This is our 12th anniversary, traditionally the silk anniversary and so silk will be a
special theme at this years show. Take the opportunity to try your hand at silk
painting by visiting the specially marked stands. Simply look up to see silk banners
suspended above these stands marking the silk route at the show.

The Field Studies Council run over
130 courses a year at their centres throughout England and Wales including Flatford Mill

skill levels including drawing, watercolour, pastel, silk painting and illustration.

The Young Pavement Artists competition are our charity for 1999. The YPA competition was
established in 1986 to encourage children to be creative and environmentally aware, while
learning about disability, particularly Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. During the exhibition
the finalists and winners of the Competition will create imaginative pieces of pavement
art on the theme of The History of Art, both outside the venue and on the YPA stand. Do
come along and support them.
