CROWNS - for Hotels and Guest houses
Listed accommodation must be clean and comfortable; offer cooked or continental breakfast; provide clean bedding, fresh towels and soap; hot water with no extra charge for baths or showers; adequate heating at no extra charge.
In addition to the above, the CROWN recommendation offers increasing facilities.
One CROWN : Personal bedroom key; shared lounge area; washbasins in bedrooms or in private bathrooms.
Two CROWNS: Colour television; early morning tea; minimum of 20% of the bedrooms to have en-suite or private facilities.
Three CROWNS: Evening meal; hairdryer; ironing facilities; shoe cleaning equipment; tea and coffee making facilities.
Four CROWNS: Evening meal with choice of dishes and a selection of wine; colour television, radio and telephone in bedrooms; laundry service; toiletries; a quiet seating area.
Five CROWNS: All bedrooms to have en-suite facilities; restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; night porter; room service; 24 hour lounge service.

KEYS - for Self-catering Holiday Homes
One KEY: Clean and comfortable accommodation; cooker including grill and oven; fridge; television; adequate table and seating; a full inventory of crockery.
Two KEYS: Colour television; automatic electric kettle; easy chair seating; electric shaver point or adaptor.
Three KEYS: The unit will be self-contained; vacuum cleaner; ironing facilities; linen and towels provided free of charge or for hire.
Four KEYS: Washing machine and tumble drier availability; coffee maker; garden furniture if there is a patio or garden.
Five KEYS: Telephone; hairdryer; dishwasher; fridge-freezer; food processor; microwave.
