Each alcove is effectively presented with the work of an individual artist complimented with a short biography. Unusually, the gallery does not charge commission on sales: instead, each artist rents an alcove for a three-week period. Curtains are closed across the front of each alcove and paintings are suspended from chains against the backcloth of drapes.
