Little Walsingham is the better known of the two Walsinghams, because of it’s pilgrims and tourism, yet just a couple of miles away lies the charming unspoilt village of Great Walsingham. On the road out of the village towards Binham, you will find Great Walsingham Barns; a beautiful courtyard setting of traditional Norfolk barns tastefully converted into a craft’s centre

The craft centre houses five individual shops, gallery, studio and a candle making workshop. There are regular exhibitions of paintings and sculptures alongside a wide variety of original craft items, textiles and even original oriental hand-made carpets.

Tim and Jo Lant hold craft demonstrations in the gallery and a christmas exhibition in late November - please check the “Diary of events”.
Valerie Goodsell has been making candles for the past 25 years, and visitors are most welcome to watch the candle making from 11am to 5pm most days except Mondays. Heather Green is also pleased to meet visitors; the studio is open most days. Randolph Beazley invites you to enter the oriental world of Murray carpets and to brouse at your leisure. Randolph is always interested to try and track down individual designs to your requirements.

The Cafe is open from mid March until the end of November from 9.30-5.30 and weekends & Bank Holidays 10.00-5.00

The Barns are tucked away in quiet countryside, but still easy to find. From Wells or Fakenham take the B1105 into Little Walsingham and out on the B1388 to Binham, Langham and Blakeney. From Holt a short cut can be taken from the A148 (quite narrow), just after Letheringsett, through Langham, or further on turning right in Thursford.
